The Beroun Rehabilitation Hospital has strengthened the capacity of its Day Care Centre. The seventh operating theatre, which has newly started its operation, will not only bring a greater number of procedures, but also an expansion of specialisations, including coloproctology. Its unusual purple colour scheme is also an interesting feature.
More procedures, shorter waiting times
The new theatre will serve mainly surgery, gynaecology, ENT and now also more intensively coloproctology - a specialty focused on diseases of the colon and rectum. All procedures are performed in a one-day care mode, with the patient going home the same day. This model, according to the hospital's management, is advantageous for both patients and the operation itself.
"One-day care is a trend in modern medicine. Patients appreciate the opportunity to undergo a procedure in a state-of-the-art facility and return home quickly," says Jiří Schweitzer, manager of the Day Care Centre. According to him, the seventh room will significantly increase the capacity of the centre and at the same time allow for an expansion of the specialist range of procedures.
Coloproctology at the forefront
With the opening of the new hall, the hospital is also strengthening its specialist care in the field of coloproctology. "A team of experienced doctors will perform a wide range of procedures here, with a particular emphasis on minimally invasive techniques. These shorten the healing time and increase patient comfort," says Július Örhalmi, MD, PhD, FASCRS, MBA, chairman of the Coloproctology Section of the Czech Surgical Society.
Modern design and functionality
In addition to the technical equipment, the seventh operating theatre also impresses with its purple colour, which is unusual in the environment of usually sterile white operating theatres. But it's not just about aesthetics - colours also play an important role in the psychological well-being of the medical staff and the overall atmosphere of the workplace.
The next step towards accessible and quality care
The seventh operating theatre at the Beroun Rehabilitation Hospital is further proof that it is possible to build state-of-the-art and modern workplaces in the regional healthcare sector. The Day Care Centre continues to fulfil its vision of providing quality, efficient and patient-friendly healthcare.
